Who We Are

We are an interdisciplinary team bringing together more than 15 years of experience across academic research, systems engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, software development and digital innovation.

Our expertise combines senior-level research and academic leadership in Systems Engineering, complex systems and AI-enabled applications with advanced software engineering capabilities across both frontend and backend development. Our team brings together Master's and doctoral-level academic backgrounds, allowing us to approach digital products not simply as software, but as complete systems designed around people, knowledge and real-world needs.

Our experience ranges from e-learning and digital education platforms to AI-powered applications and knowledge-sharing environments, alongside international research and innovation projects and university-level teaching. Over the years, we have worked with different communities, professionals, researchers, students and end users, learning not only how to develop technology, but also how to explore, elicit and structure the knowledge that people carry through their experience.

This is particularly important for tacit knowledge: the practical know-how, personal experience, insights, skills, stories and ways of doing things that people often possess but may find difficult to formally describe or document. Drawing on our experience with communities and human-centred research, we use structured methodologies to help surface and capture this knowledge, connect it with explicit information, and transform it into knowledge that can be explored, enriched and passed on.

This combination of research, engineering, education, knowledge-management methodology and software development enables us to move from an idea or community need to knowledge elicitation, system architecture, implementation and continuous evolution.

Why We Built LOXAI

We believe that some of the most valuable knowledge is also the easiest to lose.

Not all knowledge lives in documents, databases or manuals. Much of it lives in people: in their experience, memories, professional judgement, practical skills, stories, conversations and interactions with others. This tacit knowledge can be particularly difficult to capture because people do not always realise what they know, or may find it difficult to translate years of experience into words, documents or structured information.

Traditional digital platforms are very good at storing explicit knowledge—things that have already been written, recorded or formalised. But preserving what people have learned through experience requires more than storage. It requires ways of eliciting, contextualising and connecting knowledge before it disappears.

This is one of the reasons we started building LOXAI.

Our approach combines technology with structured knowledge-elicitation and knowledge-creation methodologies. We design processes that encourage people and communities to share experiences, explain practices, document stories, exchange perspectives and interact around meaningful topics. These interactions can help transform individual experience into knowledge that becomes accessible to the wider community.

And the process does not stop at capturing what is already known.

We believe communities can also create new knowledge together. When experiences are shared, perspectives are compared, questions are asked and existing knowledge is connected in new ways, the platform becomes a space not only for knowledge preservation, but also for continuous knowledge creation and enrichment.

AI, semantic search and knowledge-management technologies then help make this growing body of knowledge easier to discover, connect, understand and reuse. Rather than replacing human interaction, we use technology to extend its value beyond the moment in which it happens.

The result is not simply a digital archive. It is a living knowledge environment in which tacit and explicit knowledge can meet: experience can be captured, existing knowledge can be enriched, new knowledge can emerge through interaction, and valuable insights can remain accessible to future members of a community.

We see LOXAI not simply as a digital platform, but as an evolving human-centred infrastructure for tacit knowledge capture, knowledge creation, collective learning and collaboration.
